ULYSSES S. GRANT BIRTHPLACE, BOYHOOD HOME, TANNERY, & SCHOOLHOUSE

The Land of U.S. Grant

To celebrate the life, history, and legacy of Ulysses S. Grant through preservation and education.

GENERAL OF THE ARMY · 18TH PRESIDENT · NATIVE SON

The Land of U.S. Grant is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of the role that Georgetown and Point Pleasant Ohio played in the general's life. Our organization maintains Grant's birthplace, his family home and tannery, and the school he attended as a child.

With the help of the Ohio History Connection and other partners, the organization strives to keep alive the history and spirit of Brown County, and the part it played in forming him, our favorite son.

Each April, we celebrate his birthday and the anniversary of the Civil War with our signature US Grant Days
